    Hello James,

I think the AB in Brussels took a fairly long time to announce you were playing. We found out today, but sadly the gig also sold out today. I hope everyone shows up on time for your early 7pm start, I know I would if I had managed to get a ticket.

    Greetings from cold Brussels,
    Eva

  4. Sebastian Says:

please, add at least 1 or 2 shows in Germany! I´d love to see you live.

Hi James. I’ve been listening to your music a lot recently, and I think the new album is fantastic. I love playing your songs on my guitar (or at least trying to), and I think I’ve covered most of Year of the Leopard. I was hoping you could tell me the capo/chords to Queen of Spain and Midnight Feast? Best of luck with your shows over the new year, and one day, if you’re playing in the south I’d love to come and hear you play live.

    Cheers again,
    Finn

Hello everyone, I’d love to come to all these places, especially Wakefield, but whenever I’m offered shows there, the fees are so small that’d I’d lose money, which I cannot afford to do! Shame really. There were to be 3 German shows on this wee European tour, but the fees were tiny so they couldn’t be done. My apologies!

Here’s the chords for Queen Of Spain. There’s no capo.

    Cheers,

    JY

    Queen of Spain

    (C) This cherry (G) (Am) weather these unlocked (G) (C) days we saw a Chalkhill (G) (Am) Blue and a (G) Queen Of (Dm) Spain the changing of the (G) hour bought winter ever (Dm) closer we set ourselves (G) adrift we say goodbye to (C) summer

(C)Your elegant (G) greys (Am) lit-up amongst your (G) bottle (C) blond in the clay and (G) snow (Am) evening sky they won’t deter the (G) suitors (Dm) from the hook and the pull of your (G) red herring past (Dm) an attraction far to (G) strong for us mere six shooters (Dm) us fiddlers and dancers (G)

And you let it slip (Am) that every door is (Em) open every past is (F) questioned loyalties are (C) lost (E) this cherry (Am) weather the choices that we (Em) face with me a Chalkhill (F) Blue and you a Queen of (G) Spain

    James,

Thanks very much for the chords. It’s so rewarding playing music, as well as listening to it, I’m sure you’ll agree. Here’s a little something for you in return

    Tack tack tack!

    Cheers!

Many thanks for your show in Stockholm. I used to live in Glasgow and been wanting to see a show with you in Scotland, but now you came to my backyard instead!

  10. Anders Says:

Thank you for the show in Gothenburg, I really enjoyed it :)

(There was a girl standing next to me at the concert and I really want to come in contact with her. We were the only ones without company there. If you are that girl, please send a message to plink79@gmail.com).

  11. Vedrana Says:

The show in Gothenburg was amazing. I sat on the end of the stage and was just in awe! I had no idea you were also a comedian ;)
Unfortunately, we had to go before the last song in order to catch the last train home. A shame, since I wanted to thank you for the show in person. Maybe next time.

I can’t find the lyrics to “When the haar rolls in” anywhere. Was looking to buy the cd at the show. But didn’t see it anywhere :(

  12. Peter Glover Says:

please come to north america and washington dc, it’s become a better town since the election.

  13. brother john Says:

so Jamesy when are you coming to Orlando??? this year you could have had a slot inbetween KC and the Sunshine band and Franki Valli at the Mardi Gras. We went out for a meal on the 14th and were serenaded by the 1959-61 accordion world champ. But he didnt know Flower of Scotland or Molly Malone … oh dear.

  14. jy Says:

Well, KC & The Sunshine Band and Franki Valli? I’m over there! Seriously, I’d love to come back to North America, but it’s in the hands of Domino USA.

  15. marcinito Says:

Hey, does anyone have lyrics to Queen of Span?! I know James does :)
Please post them here. Many thanks for the chords, James. Lovely tune. Thanks to you I can play it now (albeit only halfway through, hence my request).

    Cheers,
    m
